This world is not everything!

 I think we have so much trouble just giving up & in to God because we've become accustomed to the temporary things of this world, & have forgotten what we know about God. What do we know about Him? The Bible tells us He created this entire earth, & every soul that wanders it. He created me, you, your best friend, that person you just can't seem to get along with. He created every planet & star in the universe. The hands that so carefully rolled the stars in His palms formed your soul. Not only that, but He knows every thought you've had; He sees your soul, & He knows you better than you know yourself. & yet He loves you the same. He has mapped out your entire life with perfect precision. The Creator of the universe looks upon you with love, & you are worthy in His eyes. This beautiful, glorious world & life He created for you. He died on that cross with you in His heart so you could have & experience that. So why is it so hard? Why is it so hard for us to let go of this world & throw ourselves at His feet? We still focus on these evanescent things that distract us from this wonderful truth. We become slaves to our reputations, the acceptance of others, & we measure our worth by these things, & we push God to the side. But we need to realize that putting God first & losing all these other distractions doesn't mean losing happiness. It means gaining joy. But it's hard because we let it be hard, when we think of losing the world we think of losing everything. But this world is not everything. The word heaven is mentioned in the bible 457 times. The word world, 190 times. How much more important do you think that eternal life is than this temporary one? How incredible do you think it will be when He takes our faces in His nail-scarred hands, looks us in the eyes, & tells us how much He loves us? Whatever you think, it's infinitely better, God promises us hope & a future, so give into that greater power. Because with it, you are promised eternal joy & love, from the One who lives & dies for you. <3

Doubt

 I have always struggled with doubt. I often question God's love for me, and the very nature of his being. I fall asleep at night wondering if He is really there. The more I study the Word, and spend time talking to God, the more this happens. I've learned that Satan has a way of attacking those who are on a good path. We are a bigger threat when we might actually make a difference with our faith. Satan will do everything he can to keep us from fulfilling God's plan for our lives. He will try to fill our minds with lies and doubt, but that is not from God. In time, God will give you some answers in his own way. In the mean time the devil will try to warp your mind and do everything he can to lead you astray. Surround yourself with the truth, and your heart and your mind will follow. All you have to do is keep your eyes on God and know that His love is unchanging, never-failing, and unconditional. -SamanthaTyler<3

Through the fire

  Why does God allow us to walk through the fire? There have been many times in my life where I have walked through some of the hardest and painful trials - and honestly I became rude and harsh because of the impact those trials had over me. My family and friends began to avoid me. I cried out to God "Where is all this anger coming from?" He then asked a question that changed my life. "Can you see the impurities in gold before it is put in the fire?" I answered, "No." "But that doesn't mean they were not always there.
